Advocacy & Education

BEA will effectuate its mission through advocacy and education. To meet these objectives, the organization will utilize traditional media, social media, Metro Council advocacy, state legislative advocacy , etc. BEA has employed the Vogel Group to assist with and lead governmental advocacy efforts on behalf of the association. The Vogel team will routinely meet with members of Metro Council and the Tennessee General Assembly to advocate on BEA’s behalf when issues which may affect Lower Broadway arise. Additionally, BEA will develop legislative strategies to pursue at both the city and state level. Currently, Lower Broadway does not have any organized strategy at either level and this will be a tremendous asset in preserving and enhancing Lower Broadway. Advancing legislative priorities markedly improve our establishments and what we offer the public.
